Set-up Size:
Art should be set up to the actual dimension of the product. Templates of products are available here.
Composites/Separations:
• Please send files as a composite, reading from outside of the product - we will separate and trap.
Inks/Color Specs:
• Label colors in file.
• CMYK for four color process printing only.
• Reversing out of two or more colors is not recommended. An additional hit of white may be required.
• NO RGB/INDEXED colors accepted.
• Anywhere white is to print make the color PMS 1555 and name it Printers White
• Recommend Clear Coat on all Metallic Inks.
• All colors are matched to Pantone Coated colors - any other must be SPECIFIED!
• No double hits of ink (exact registration).
Placed Images and Fonts:
• Send ALL images used in the file.
Nested/Embedded eps images will NOT be accepted!
• Send ALL screen and printer fonts used or convert all type to outline.
• Electronic styling from style palettes is NOT accepted!
• Save graphic files as eps or tif, do NOT send pict, jpg or gif files.
• Tints/Halftones (Gray scale or CMYK) images 300 ppi
• Line art (Bitmap) 1000 ppi
Failure to provide will result in delayed production.
Solid Panels/Tints/Tight Register:
• Large areas of ink coverage (Solid or Tint) in the same color, close registration and four color process jobs may require splitting the hits, which doubles the passes through the press.
Minimum Type and Line Weight:
• Minimum type size is 6 points Medium font.
• Minimum reverse type size is 12 point Bold font.
• Minimum line weight must be .65 point.
• Minimum reverse line weight must be 1.5 point.
Bleeds:
• Bleeds are 1/8” extended beyond the cut edge
• No bleeds on two or more colors unless waiver is signed
Areas Where No Ink May Go:
• All ink must be 3/32” on ea. side of the score or hinge areas.
• All ink must be 5/8” away from all sonic welded areas.
• All ink must be 3/32” from all cut edges and 1/32” from bottom of tab extensions.
• Art that prints on the tab extension that extends into the body of tab itself can not be tab cut.
• All ink must be 1/4” away from all Pocket Seals.
• All ink must be 1/4” away the center of rivets.
